17 Awesome Song Collaborations Between Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 Bands You Need To Hear

Songs by Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 bands that feature other Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 bands

I personally get hyped when I get to hear collaborations between my favorite bands. I get even more excited when there is a possibility for those collaborations to happen at a live show.

With Blue Ridge Rock Festival having such a stacked lineup, there is bound to be potential for some live performances of recorded collaborations.

Check out the list below for some well-known and lesser-known songs by Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 bands that feature other Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 bands.

Song collaborations with potential for live performances at BRRF 2023 (based on bands appearing the same day)

1. Motionless in White + Bryan Garris (Knocked Loose) – “Slaughterhouse”

From MIW’s 2022 ‘Scoring The End Of The World’ album, this collab is probably one of the more well-known on this list. Featuring members from two fan-favorite Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 bands, the track has racked up over 15 million Spotify streams and was the subject of a fury of reaction videos upon its release. “Slaughterhouse” sees Garris’ brutal, standout hardcore screams blend flawlessly with Chris Motionless’ screams that at times encroach on death metal territory. The two pair up in the song’s outro for one of the nastiest duets of all time.

2. Electric Callboy + Conquer Divide – “Fuckboi”

Electric Callboy brought in Conquer Divide for the track “Fuckboi” from their 2022 album, ‘Tekkno’. The vocal additions from Conquer Divide add to the song’s pop punk vibe, transporting you right back to the year 2000.

3. Make Them Suffer + Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox) – “Contraband”

Aussie outfit Make Them Suffer featured Courtney LaPlante in their 2021 single, “Contraband”, the band’s first ever track with a guest feature. LaPlante’s vocals accompanied by signature Make Them Suffer piano melodies in the song’s chorus serve as a tension release and strong contrast to the rest of the track’s pummeling riffs and breakdowns that are layered with Sean Harmanis’ assaulting vocals.

4. Paleface + LANDMVRKS – “Dead Man’s Diary”

Paleface is a band that toes the line between deathcore and hardcore like no other. The addition of LANDMVRKS in this track from Paleface’s 2022 album ‘Fear & Dagger’ sees these two genres interweave in the best way possible. From low chug breakdowns to a rap verse, this track packs an unrelenting punch the whole way through. No wonder the track is among the most streamed songs for each band.

5. The Used + Caleb Shomo (Beartooth) – “The Lottery”

Caleb’s raw vocals on this track from The Used’s 2020 album, ‘Heartwork’, enhance the song’s aggressive elements and complement its dissonant breakdown.

6. Thousand Below + Noah Sebastian (Bad Omens) – “Hell Finds You Everywhere”

From the 2022 album by the same name, Noah’s harmonies can be heard at different points throughout “Hell Finds You Everywhere”. But the most standout element of the track is the way his vocals amp up the emotive energy right after the breakdown.

Collabs that are not likely to happen during BRRF 2023 due to appearances on different days (but are still awesome to listen to!)

7. Holding Absence + Sleep Token  – “Purge”

This collab features two Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 bands from the UK. From Holding Absence’s 2019 self-titled album, “Purge” is a softer, short, atmospheric piano track. In a 2019 interview Holding Absence vocalist, Lucas Woodland, revealed that the piano was recorded by Sleep Token. You’ll definitely hear the Sleep Token influence if you give the song a listen.

8. Tech N9ne + Corey Taylor – “Wither”

From the 2015 album  ‘Special Effects’, the track “Wither” begins with a Stone Sour-like acoustic fusion and clean vocals, before building up to signature Slipknot-like drums and guitars riff, and Corey Taylor belting a rap.

9. Crown the Empire + Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox) – “In Another Life”

Thrashy drums and down-tuned riffs reminiscent of “The Fallout” give way to LaPlante’s clean vocals in an atmospheric chorus in this 2021 single from Crown the Empire.

10. Five Finger Death Punch + Tech N9ne – “Momma Said Knock You Out”

I remember the first time I heard this track from FFDP’s 2013 album, ‘The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Vol. 1’. And I remember being surprisingly impressed. The unlikely pairing of these two Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 bands in this LL Cool J cover works insanely well.

11. Patient Sixty-Seven + Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens)- “Feel Alive”

Patient Sixty-Seven is an Australian metalcore outfit that has been gaining significant traction in 2023 following the band’s single “Lake Valley”, their first international tour, and their Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023 announcement. “Feel Alive”, from their 2022 EP with the same title, is a metalcore ballad featuring Kellin Quinn. Quinn’s clean vocals combined with P67’s Tom Kiely’s screams make for an emotive duet that will stay in your head.

12. Atreyu + Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach) – “Untouchable”

In recent years, Atreyu’s sound has transformed from goth-lyric themed metalcore to rock anthems heard in sports stadiums. This track from their 2021 album, ‘Baptize’, falls into the latter category, with background vocals from Jacoby Shaddix serving to enhance the song’s sing-a-long sections.

13. Struggle Jennings + Aaron Lewis (Staind) – “The Struggle is Real”

This acoustic track from the 2016 EP, ‘Return of the Outlaw’, features Aaron Lewis on its choruses, which break up Jennings’ rap verses.

14. Sleeping with Sirens + Matty Mullens (Memphis May Fire) – “Congratulations”

This song from the 2013 album, ‘Feel’, sees Matty Mullens join Kellin Quinn in a bouncy rock anthem that has the pair touting their success. The two give a sarcastic “Congratulations” delivered in a  ‘look at us now’  message to the record labels who turned their bands down in their early years.

15. Our Last Night + I See Stars – “Someone You Loved”

The brothers in Our Last Night are known for putting out top-notch covers in addition to their original music. The two brothers make standout duets on their own, but the decision to collaborate with I See Stars for this Lewis Capaldi cover was perfect. The additional vocal harmony achieved through the collaboration allowed the cover to do the original stronger justice.

16. Kingdom of Giants + J.T. Cavey (ERRA)- “Tunnel Vision”

From the 2017 album ‘All the Hell You’ve Got to Spare’, J.T.’s low screams in “Tunnel Vision” complement Dana Willax’ vocals in this atmospheric, djenty, melodic metalcore track.

17. Memphis May Fire + Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach) – “This Light I Hold”

This song from the 2016 album titled the same also features Jacoby Shaddix, whose grittier vocal texture and screams serve to amp up the track’s energy.
